SKETCHES

This is a sketch plan of how my front page is going to look like. I'm going to have the mast head on top. the font will be black with red background. the page will have a main image of my model with white background. the will be texts behind and front of the image. At bottom of the page i will have the date and bar-code.

This is a sketch of the double page spread. I'm going to use just one image. I ll add texts in columns. The text is going to be white , this will work well with the black background/image. I will also include interview of the band at the bottom as seen in the picture below.

This is the contents page. this is going to be simple. at the top there will be the title. There's going to be 3 images on this page. I ll add texts to each image. on the right side of the page I have 'featuring'.

Good magazine front covers

This magazine is very attractive and would perfectly fit my chosen genre as its very colourful and vibrant. the colour scheme is very bright and colourful giving the magazine an indian feeling. The front cover of this magazine consists of a woman(M.I.A) looking directly at the camera; this indicates that the she is trying to establish a relationship or connection with the reader.i will use direct dress of mode in my magazine to create this effect. The background of this front cover is colourful( pastel colours)  however in the middle the colour format becomes a brighter and bolder, which makes this cover have a more warmth feeling.Behind the women is the 'CLASH' master head and in front of her lies few cover lines in white. the white font works very well with the red background and is very clear to read. The woman’s name (M.I.A) is bigger and bolder than the rest of the text this emphasises the importance of the model/musician. the costume is not very clear but looks very colourful and looks like it has lots of patterns , representing the indian culture as Bollywood is very well known for its colour and patterns. i will be using this magazine as an inspiration to create my own. i will probably use similar colour scheme and style of font.

These two magazines are also very colourful and attractive. The billboard masthead is bold and big. With coloured in letter, this instantly makes it recognisable as a logo.  Billboard's masthead is simple . The font is clear and easy to read, the colour used for the masthead is black Sans Serif font, with the inside of the letters A and D coloured in blue and yellow adding more excitement to the cover.i will be using these colours and font on my cover .i will also be using similar colour scheme.in the second cover Beyonce's clothing colour matches the background of the cover. Her makeup also blends in with the theme . The colours do not clash. As i am going to be using lots of different colours on my page, i need to make sure that the colours i use do not clash.

Bollywood songs more known as Hindi film songs are songs featured in Bollywood films. derided in western film circles for the song and dance routine. Bollywood songs, along with dance are a characteristics motif of Hindi cinema which gives it enduring popular appeal, cultural value and context. Hindi film songs form a predominant component of Indian pop music, and derives its inspirations from both classical and modern source. Hindi films are mostly musicals, and are expected to contain catchy music in the form of song-and-dance numbers woven into the script. RENAMING THE MAGAZINE

After asking my target audience and my media teacher I've decided to change the name of the magazine. The name sangeet is a quit boring and over used so I have decided to change the name to something different and creative. Here is the list of names I've chosen to use as the name of my magazine

MAGAZINE COVER ANALYSIS

MEN'S HEALTH

MAGAZINE

The masthead of this magazine is written in lower case and is a red font to show its simplicity. The name also gives an idea
of the target audience of the magazine which is clearly men. The cover lines clearly shows that the magazine is suited for men as it addresses different types of health tips which may be useful for men. 'STOP EXCUSAS' is a mode of address and is written in block capitals and is also highlighted. This makes it seem as if they are directly shouting at the men which are looking at the cover to encourage them to workout. Another mode of address is the man used on the front cover, which is leo rico . He is looking straight at the camera smiling.he has his top off this shows the audience how their body can change if they do what they are told on the magazine(exercise) and be as confident as him.if they had out of shape man the audience may not take the magazine seriously .'him having a ripped body also relates to mens health and portrays the ideal men body. It also makes the magazine seem like men have to look a certain way which is to have abs and that it would instantly make them sexually attractive.

WOMEN FASHION MAGAZINE

The masthead of this mazagine is blue but its written in capital letters. This connotation makes the cover  look much more sophisticated and the fact that it is blue gives it a more classic and chic feel. One of the coverlines for Fashion magazine
is 'BEST BEAUTY INVESTMENTS' which is clearly aimed for women as stereotypically, women love 'Fashion' and looking at the new trends, so it fits perfectly with their needs. On this front cover, Miley cyrus  is being used as the model and she looks perfect  and airbrushed. She is wearing a black dress which is revealing, she isn't fully clothed, but still looks. Her hair is neat and makeup is very bold and sharp, which suggests that women are not just sex  objects even if they aren't covered up properly, they can still look elegant and fashionable rather than trashy.
